I only recently found out that Mrs.Daisy Chua passed away from an old school mate. I am so sorry for your family's loss and hope to share a vivid memory I had of Mrs.Daisy Chua.
I was very much afraid of her as were most girls in school as she would yell at us from the end of the corridor for us to tuck our shirts in, to be more lady-like, pull up our socks and to talk less. However, on the last day of SPM in 2004, I walked out of the exam hall and she was at the porch and said loudly "YOU, COME HERE!" and being the frightened girl I was, I walked slowly to her and said, "Teacher, Cut me some slack please. It's the last day of school and I know my socks are not of appropriate colour".
But I was taken aback when she said in a gentler voice, "No lah, I just wanted to ask you how your exams went." And we had a short conversation about what my plans were after school before I had to bid goodbye.
That was the last time I had a conversation with her but I will hold on to that memory when I think of her.
Mrs.Daisy, I hope you rest in peace and I will always keep you in my memories.
